Fly Camping
with the Hadzabe at Lake Eyasi
Fly camping at Lake Eyasi lets you spend the night in the bush with the Hadzabe as your guides—without sacrificing a comfortable night’s sleep. You’ll have a cozy mattress, warm duvet, soft pillows, and a netted tent that lets you stare at the night sky as if it were a private planetarium. Just outside your tent, there’s a private basin filled with hot water and towels — perfect for washing off the day’s dust — and delicious meals are cooked for you so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

Evenings are pure magic. The Hadzabe will guide you up a hill just in time for sunset, with sweeping views over Lake Eyasi glowing in gold and pink. Later, they join you at the campfire to swap stories, and share laughs under a blanket of stars that feels endless.
In the morning, you can join the men on a hunt or follow the women as they forage for food — learning skills that have kept this community thriving for generations.

Travel Tips
-
Nights can get chilly, so bring layers to sit around the campfire. For the night, you'll have a warm duvet in your tent.

-
Insect repellent, a hat, and sturdy shoes are must-haves. Even sunscreen in the early morning is non-negotiable since this part of Tanzania has exotic temperatures.

-
Feel free to snap photos, but always ask before photographing the Hadzabe.
